LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS:

PRESENTED AT SENIOR AWARDS NIGHT IN MAY: Most of these local scholarships have a deadline of APRIL 1  turned in to the academic office with ALL parts completed by the end of the school day on April 1.   SEE IMPORTANT DEADLINE INFORMATION ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THIS PAGE.

STUDENT LEADER / VOLUNTEER AWARD -  Open to any student, residing in Allen, eastern Auglaize, or Putnam counties, who is a High School senior that has shown outstanding leadership and volunteerism. Between 2 and 10 awards of $500 will be presented. The Outstanding Student Leader / Volunteer will receive a $1000 award. Applications are available at elks54awards@gmail.com and must be submitted by April 1, 2025.

EXALTED RULER AWARD - Open to a current High School senior student who plans to pursue an eligible educational program at a career or technical institution or a college or university and is EITHER A CHILD OR GRANDCHILD OF A MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING OF THE B.P.O. ELKS LODGE NO. 54 OF LIMA OHIO.   Applications are available at elks54awards@gmail.com and must be submitted by April 1, 2025.

MOST VALUABLE STUDENT AWARD - open to all current High School Seniors. The application process will begin August 1, 2024 and the entry deadline is November 14, 2024. Local male and female winners are awarded $2,000 each. Applications are submitted online at: https://www.elks.org/scholars/scholarships/mvs.cfm

LEGACY AWARD - Legacy Awards are $4,000 scholarships available to children and grandchildren of Elks members and are current High School Seniors whose parents or Grandparents are ELKS members. The application process will open September 1, 2024 and the entry deadline is February 3, 2025. Application and FAQs are available online at: http://www.elks.org/scholars/scholarships/Legacy.cfm

EMERGENCY EDUCATIONAL GRANT – These grants are available to the children of deceased or totally disabled Elks in the form of renewable, one-year grants of up to $5,000. The application process opens May 1, 2024 and the deadline is November 1, 2024. Make request for an Application by calling: 773-755-4732 or by emailing request to: Scholarship@elks.org Applications are submitted to the National Elks Foundation.

Important Deadline Information

Many of these scholarships may require counselor signatures, letters of recommendation from counselors/teachers, class rank, GPA, etc.  Just as we require for transcript requests to colleges, we teachers/counselors ask you to give us two weeks to complete this info. for your scholarship application(s).

Please have your completed scholarship application(s) to your counselor TWO WEEKS prior to the listed deadlines.  If the scholarship needs to mailed/e-mailed/faxed by a particular date, you will need to take that into consideration when needing information, letters of recommendation, transcripts, etc.
